John, 'making them from your own nuts' could be a trifle painful however...

Eliza -

That might suggest an "adult bowl" of nuts on the table at XMAS? Lots of little presents might be crammed into some of the nuts, but the ones we get here generally will just about hold a quarter coin, at the max end.

Of couse lots of adult prizes come in small (one time use?) packages.

I can't imagine buying them though, since making them from your own nuts is so much fun.

John

I once bought some very similar 'walnut shells filled with a gift' for my elderly widowed friend Pat. She rang later in fits of giggles. Each contained a G-string type of pantie rolled up very small.

For convenience: Easters (sic) Eggs.

They must be popular since the site says "Sold Out."

They look a little like the "prizes" we used to make, usually at Xmas time rather than Easter, by gently splitting an English walnut open at the seam, and replacing the meat with a "prize" of some kind. Reassembled with "Duco" model airplane glue, and mixed back in with the real nuts. (Most of the adults learned to check for the ones that rattled, so they didn't get all the kids' prizes.)

John

they are hollow plastic eggs that come filled with sweet tarts...and "nerds" (whatever those are) but you could re-fill with sweets of your choice!

Very good idea mike, I've never seen anything like these before, they should make it much more fun for the children to find. But are they chocolate? (Essential IMO!)
