The part that got me was his people telling the press that the tour was to bolster his "foreign policy" credentials and that there would be no major policy announcements or criticisms of the current administration. Then after the screw ups Mitt going on Fox and saying that it was all the presses fault for "ignoring" the "real" issues.

Here watch how good i am overseas. But when I screw up that, you need to report on something else.

I am actually beginning to think that it is distinctly possible to have a less competent more out of touch President than the two headed hydra that was Cheney/Bush.

I am also, for the first time appreciating the relative intelligence of Ronald Reagan. At least he seemed to appreciate that the press had a job to do.

Our European journalists believe he did it on purpose: He wants to tell at home that Europeans hate him because of his brave fighting for American interests, whereas it is the opposite with Obama.

The trick was successful before, in many countries.
