Subject: RE: BS: heavy 'Weather' for Huey Lewis From: Nick Date: 27 Jan 20 - 01:02 PM That’s sad. Good singer. He has a lovely character and sound to his voice. And they were a very tight and talented band I always thought. Used to play “If this is it” in a band some years back. Well thought out guitar part. Very melodic and loved the backing vocals in stuff I have heard |

Subject: BS: heavy 'Weather' for Huey Lewis From: keberoxu Date: 26 Jan 20 - 03:25 PM If Huey Lewis and the News are not to your taste, you can leave off reading this post right here. This group has pleased me for years, and it makes me sad that they can't continue. Weather is the name of the album that is due to be released in February. It's short. It had to be, unless they continued to record songs without Huey Lewis. The interview I just read didn't say how long Huey Lewis has had a Meniere's disease diagnosis. Judging from the little information given, Meniere's disease has been a fact of life for Huey Lewis for some time now. Recently, however, it has taken its toll: two years ago the group had to cancel what remained of a tour in the US, when a Dallas performance outed Huey Lewis on "a bad day," when he could not hear accurately while the band was playing. The progression of the disease has put an end to performing for Huey Lewis, and he can only sing / record on the good days. As said before, these musicians have given me a lot of pleasure, and I will miss them very much. Huey Lewis on his hearing loss |
