I get my dates mixed up here, but this is the year when
the EAFF Champions League event was hosted in
the country of Turkey --
and the home country fought to win the Cup.

This region of the Middle East has its own youthful team;
they did not qualify for the 2022 event.

They appear to be the sort of team, regardless of circumstances,
that will try year after year until they compete well enough
to qualify in the Amputee Football World Cup.

Starting with the country of Iraq and its national team,
which qualified for the 2022 event.

Saddam Hussein vs. the United States and so on,
that is how most of these men ended up disabled.
