Didn't happen. Maybe Monday September 5.

At the age of six, my niece Claire decided she wanted to work for NASA. Seventeen years later, that dream came true. She had an internship for NASA while she was in engineering school, and then she was hired as a permanent employee when she graduated - and then they paid her to go to graduate school. She got married in 2019, and a number of her NASA coworkers flew from Florida to Oregon for the wedding. They were so young, so interesting, and so enthusiastic.

So, for little Claire, at age 29 the youngest of my nieces and nephews, I really want this launch to be a success. She is so excited about it.

Uncle Joe

I woke up early Monday, because when it's 8:30 AM in the morning East Coast, it is 0430 in Anchorage, Alaska. Lucky for me I slept with my phone and was able to check via the internet that some of the control equipment or instrumentataion was befuddled up and hence once I heard the word 'scrubbed' I could adjust the pillow and turn back to sleep.

Now it is supposed to liftoff Saturday two days away. I don't have a time at the moment, but I will be sleeping with my phone again.

Anyhow, is it just me or does it seem that NASA kinda sneaked in building a giant effing rocket the size of a monster Redwood tree? Were they working while wearing masks while we were sweating through Covid? Might have been a good idea as the atmosphere heated up. I'm sure you cant construct a space vehicle without air conditioning!

Apparently we're in a space race with the Chinese. The Russians are using their rockets more locally.
