My 2 cents are with the genius' of an epoch that change understanding and society itself. Plato, Aristotle, the Wright Bros...

The problem is some genius can turn evil in intent. Ted Kazinski (unibomber) was a 167 IQ math genius. Einstein was about 160.

I'm rereading Asimov. He came up with the idea in 1948 :-)

The old concepts of Royalty, Theocracy, Democracy, Capitalism, Technocracy, Communism, and Fascism all had their revolutions.
Do you think the author is speaking of a system outside the above?
The system is broken and is bleeding. A fix would be welcome.
The world is different with 8 billion people than it was with 1 billion people. We can plow ahead to the four horsemen or seek solutions. Looking at the facts is all the author intended. It's good that people are opening their eyes so you guys are to be praised for that, squabbling about rules aside.

It is often remarked that though it may seem that we face numerous global crises of different kinds – environmental, social, political, cultural, economic, psychological, and so on – these crises are interrelated. The term ‘metacrisis’ has been invented to describe this predicament.
