Subject: RE: BS: Stalking From: Raggytash Date: 29 Apr 24 - 09:34 AM I think that the so called "Coco's Law" refers specifically to posting images and has nothing to do with "stalking" as such. According to the little I have read the are two offenses covered by the law. "1. Intent to cause harm The first, more serious offence is distributing, publishing or threatening to distribute or publish an intimate image without consent and with the intent to cause harm or being reckless as to whether harm is caused (knowing but not necessarily intending for harm to be caused). This is sometimes known as revenge porn." 2. No specific intent to cause harm The second, less serious offence is recording, distributing or publishing an intimate image without consent even if there was no specific intent to cause harm. This offence would cover situations such as sharing intimate images of someone you do not know." I am not a lawyer and I may have missed something. |
Subject: RE: BS: Stalking From: Dave the Gnome Date: 29 Apr 24 - 05:53 AM I could be wrong but I think it is only applicable in Ireland. Good law that should have a worldwide equivalent though. |
