Subject: RE: Guidance? abc explorer. 5tuplets From: Mo the caller Date: 30 Oct 24 - 05:57 PM Thanks. I think (5F/G/F/E/F/ sorts it. |
Subject: RE: Guidance? abc explorer. 5tuplets From: DaveRo Date: 30 Oct 24 - 04:31 AM You can play it HERE. I suggest you slow it down by changing the tempo on the black bar to, say, 30% I tried Jacks's suggestion by editing the ABC: it sounded the same to me. I added a second voice and played about with it. I found 5:1:5 works - See Here (ABC Explorer might sound different.) |
Subject: RE: Guidance? abc explorer. 5tuplets From: Jack Campin Date: 29 Oct 24 - 08:01 PM Try (5:2:5FGFEF. ABC standards are confused about how to display tuplet beaming. I just tried Michael Eskin's thing (built around abcjs) and it uses single beams when they should be double but I think it plays it right. Maybe (5F/G/F/E/F/ would be better. |
Subject: abc explorer. 5tuplets From: Mo the caller Date: 29 Oct 24 - 11:38 AM I'm trying to learn the trills in Bach's Christmas Oratorio. there's a fast bit on the words "cease to be fearful" and I've put it into abc as X:1.3 T:p3 M:3/8 L:1/8 K:D zE/F/ (5FGFEF|GGA|BBE|BBA|AA w:cease -------to be fear ful for get lam en ta tion But the 5 seem to take longer that a quaver. The online guides have helped for triplets. What should I have put? |
