Subject: Lyr Add: WHEN THE LARK SALUTES THE SKY From: jacko@nz Date: 05 Sep 00 - 01:54 AM this is the best I can do. hope it helps When the lark salutes the sky I'll be coming home for you love To my old and ever new love When the lark salutes the sky When the doormouse in the dale Sees his winter days are over when the spring has ceased it's slumber when the lark salutes the sky When to gentle sleep you fall And the dew forms on your pillow and your eye are bright and gay love When the lark salutes the sky And I'll take you by the hand To the place where young love............ Where you'll meet............ When the lark salutes the sky And the songs of yesterday The best lines you'll remember Where the leaves they wither never When the lark salutes the sky And we'll face the world anew When I come home for you love And we'll start a life anew love When the lark salutes the sky When the lark salutes the sky I'll be coming home for you love To that old ever new love When the lark salutes the sky When the lark salutes the sky |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Lark From: jacko@nz Date: 04 Sep 00 - 10:53 PM I'm pretty sure this is the song called.."When the Lark Salutes the Sky" which I heard Vin sing in Auckland many years ago. |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Lark From: Brendy Date: 04 Sep 00 - 07:17 PM I spotted both of those on the web, JTT, but I'm going by what scouse has given. Garbutts homepage doesn't have any discography of anything before 1991 (I think), and further searches on the words have come up with nothing. Maybe you can remember a bit more of it, scouse, after you've fully recovered from Tønder *BG* Hope you had a good time. B. |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Lark From: GUEST,JTT Date: 04 Sep 00 - 06:57 PM The Lark In The Clear Air? One of Moore's Irish Melodies. Should be easy to find. Unless it's "Oh, the lark in the morning, she rises off her nest, and she goes home in the evening with the dew all on her breast", which is The Jolly Ploughboy - also easy to find. |

Subject: Lark From: scouse Date: 04 Sep 00 - 05:56 PM About 15 years ago I hear Vin Garbutt sing a song,I think the first line was something like "When the lark in in the air." or "when the lark is in the sky." Possible that this could even be the title.Anyhow I would be greatly pleased if any one out there could help!! Here's hoping, Scouse. (:-)smiles for getter once again through the tonder festival without getting to pissed!!! but listening to good music instead. |
