Sound posts are made from a dowel made out of quartersawn spruce, and are place on the treble side, between the tailpiece and the bridge, about a 1/4" from the treble foot of the bridge. They are important both structurally and from a sound standpoint, but are probably not a do-it-yourself endeavor, unless you are fairly familiar with violin family instruments.

O no. I lost my Cookie again, Wow is me.

I do not have a sound post in my bass. How do I put one in, what should it be made of, and where should it be placed.
