Subject: RE: GARY T is a Prince among Men!!! From: WyoWoman Date: 10 May 01 - 12:30 AM There's no place like Cat. there's noplace like Cat ... Yes, indeedy, Lin, I'd love to come see y'all in Wichita. That's not too far a drive from us here in Topeka, right? Send me a message and I'll give you my phone number, etc., so we can hook up. Sounds to me like the Winfield contingent of Mudcateers is growing and growing. This ought to be way fun. And Karen T., I'm very much looking forward to meeting you -- barbecue or no barbecue! Party on! ww |

Subject: RE: GARY T is a Prince among Men!!! From: Lin in Kansas Date: 09 May 01 - 11:12 AM Whole-hearted agreement with your assessment of Mr. Gary T.--we met at Winfield last year, and he and his lady wife are most pleasant people. Gary, thank you for singing "Frog Kissing" for me--a memorable "I learned a NEW SONG at Winfield!" You're a sweetie... WyoWoman, if you make it down to this part of the state (Wichita), the Bluegrass Association has Pickin' Picnics every third weekend of the month; there's an Irish session at the Java Villa coffee shop on Thursdays, and John and I try to host an "old country" jam most Fridays. Wichita has several good blues venues, too. We'd be glad to have you here. And Welcome to the Heartland! Lin |

Subject: RE: GARY T is a Prince among Men!!! From: Gary T Date: 09 May 01 - 09:51 AM Aw, shucks...now I'm blushing. I found WyoWoman a delight to meet and visit with, and a splendid singer as well. She just fit right in with my friends, who also seemed quite pleased to meet her. We'll be looking forward to future get-togethers. Sorry, Wyoming, your loss and our gain. |

Subject: GARY T is a Prince among Men!!! From: WyoWoman Date: 09 May 01 - 12:17 AM Greetings, one und all, from the Land of Ahhs -- eastern Kansas. I, the WyoWoman, am now ensconced, to some degree, in my new digs underneath the turbulent skies of a Kansas springtime My sojourn to this new land has been made much more congenial by the efforts of a certain Gary T, Mudcateer par Excellence, and general All-Round Good-Guy-with-Guitar-in-Hand. He emailed me to let me know where the jams are, when the Santa Fe Trails Music festival is happenin' and has generally gone out of his way to make me feel welcomed here in the land of sunflowers and summer storms. Gary invited me to a jam in Kansas City last week, which turned out to be just perfect -- beautiful environment, friendly people and lots of really nice music -- and another one last night just outside Topeka. He's even invited me to dog his wife's footsteps at the Santa Fe trails festival as she judges a barbecue competition (tough work, but someone has to do these odious tasks, don'cha' know) in hopes a bit of barbecue might trickle down to us hangers-on. so, I say, hear-hear to Mr. Gary T, a right good fellow and mighty fine guitar strummer. F'anks, buddy. WW Pansy Rue Twidgett |
