Subject: RE: BS: 'Nekkid' Heron spotted - Help, Spaw! From: SINSULL Date: 10 Jun 01 - 03:34 PM This seemed to be an appropriate place to dump a bad parrot joke: A lady approaches her priest and tells him, "Father, I have a problem. I have two female talking parrots, but they only know how to say one thing." What do they say?" the priest inquired. "They only know how to say, 'Hi, we're prostitutes. Want to have some fun?'" That's terrible!" the priest exclaimed, " but I have a solution to your problem. Bring your two female parrots over to my house and I will put them with my two male talking parrots whom I taught to pray and read the bible. My parrots will teach your parrots to stop saying that terrible phrase, and your female parrots will learn to praise and worship." "Thank you, thank you!" the woman responded. The next day, the woman brings her two female talking parrots to the priest's house. His two male talking parrots are holding rosary beads and praying in their cage. The lady puts her two female parrots in with the two male parrots and the female parrots say, "Hi, we're prostitutes, want to have some fun?" One male parrot looks over at the other male parrot and exclaims, "Put the beads away; Our prayers have been answered"

And, now, for a little more trivia on the Spaw name: Spaw "Spaw is the 54,108th most popular last name (surname) in the United States; frequency is 0.000%; percentile is 86.563 [SourceCBN]" Can you believe it? People actually have THAT as a last name!! luvyakat |

Subject: RE: BS: 'Nekkid' Heron spotted - Help, Spaw! From: rangeroger Date: 09 Jun 01 - 12:39 AM I've had the S.P.A.W. site bookmarked in my files ever since the 100 Uses thread. Sent it to a friend who got 30 pink flamingoes on her lawn as a benefit money raiser. You have to pay $10 and then you get to pick the next reciepient. Of course some call it indentured servitude (see SPAW site). rr |

Subject: RE: BS: 'Nekkid' Heron spotted - Help, Spaw! From: catspaw49 Date: 08 Jun 01 - 11:12 PM HOLY PINK SHIT BATMAN !!!!I am sitting here laughing my ass off and have no idea where to start.............Perhaps with Mary and kat or maybe I go straight to Noreen................ I can say it isn't the Waylon Heron as he was possibly piloting the UFO that Bill, Sam, and Ian saw the other night.......Peter has confirmed the possibility! I just love this place......WE ALL HAVE WAY TOO MUCH TIME ON OUR HANDS!!!!!! Am I the only one who's cracking up over Noreen searching the net for "Spaw?" For whatever it's worth, although I have a wonderful birthday thread, I am taking this one as MY PERSONAL BIRTHDAY PRESENT!........Mary, kat, Noreen, et al....Thanks for a huge and long laugh!!!!!!!! Spaw |

Subject: RE: BS: 'Nekkid' Heron spotted - Help, Spaw! From: Billy the Bus Date: 08 Jun 01 - 10:51 PM Noreen, please accept the YLBR Award for the fantastic SPAW link. We know know where that birdbrain Spaw was spawned. I'm sure I recognised him in one of the Pink Phlamingo Parade snapshots - good song title, eh+ .. ;) Chers - Sam |

Subject: RE: BS: 'Nekkid' Heron spotted - Help, Spaw! From: Noreen Date: 08 Jun 01 - 09:46 PM I found it last year, searching for Spaw on Google when I had nothing better to do (for the 100 uses for Spaw thread) and it came back to mind now... *BG* Glad you like it! Noreen |

Subject: RE: BS: 'Nekkid' Heron spotted - Help, Spaw! From: SINSULL Date: 08 Jun 01 - 03:16 PM So they are nekkid flamingoes after all. And someone thought enough of our SPAW to name the society after him. Somehow it all makes perfect sense (or nonsense). |

Subject: RE: BS: 'Nekkid' Heron spotted - Help, Spaw! From: Peter T. Date: 08 Jun 01 - 11:02 AM I can definitely state that that is not the Waylon Heron, but its singing cousin, the Placido Flamingo. The Waylon Heron was abducted by aliens from Betelgueuse some time ago, redirected to their nefarious purposes, and though there have been sightings (it was reported to have become the Historical Advisor to "Pearl Harbor") no definite reports are in hand. I received an urgent e-mail the other day that suggested that a bird answering to the name of Waylon was given birth to on the season finale of X-Files, but apart from it being a thing with feathers, there is no resemblance. In the meantime, Spaw and I, like the Little Prince and his fox, are concerned about his fate, which troubles us. |

That's Spanish dancers with no clothes on - I was getting socially excited...;) No, as a dedicated hornythologist, I can assure you it IS a heron - who's mother mated with Jimmy Durante!...;) Cheers - Sam |

Subject: 'Nekkid' Heron spotted - Help, Spaw! From: katlaughing Date: 07 Jun 01 - 09:33 PM It's true, this just came in. There's a nekkid heron loose in Kentucky and Mary in KY managed to get a great photo of it. We're concerned about it's safety and were wondering if Spaw could help out, maybe make Peter T give back the leather outfit or something! Check it out: CLICK HERE AND SCROLL DOWN!! Thanks, Mary! New sightings will be posted as they come in! kat |
