Subject: RE: Lyr Add: old brass wagon From: Jacob B Date: 20 Jul 01 - 12:44 PM I learned this years ago from a book on play-party games. The book said the tune was Ten Little Indians, and that's the tune I used for it. Jacob |

Subject: old brass wagon From: MAG Date: 15 Jul 01 - 01:35 AM Partly in response to the "what music did I do today," and a song I have found useful which doesn't seem to be in the DB. Did my 3rd annual Whitman Mission gig today (and tomorrow), stories, traditional songs, and play-party games. This is good for introducing very basic circle dance moves, and you don't have to even call it that. As I found it, it goes:
Circle to the left, old brass wagon Obviously I dress it up, explain about 8 measure units. Circle to the right ... I suppose if anybody wants the (very simple) tune in a midifile, I could try and learn that next ... 'course I did Clementine, Sweet Betsy. Old Dan Tucker, Old Joe Clark, and other things this wonderful and supportive group suggested last year. Love you all. (and watch out for that Friday 13th stuff.) |
