All over the world, St Patrick's day is an excuse to wear as much green as you can, but our major days are forgotten.... Except Burn's night, that is....... |

Subject: Flodden Anniversary From: Fiolar Date: 09 Sep 01 - 05:39 AM Today September 9th 2001 is the anniversary of the Battle of Flodden (1513) in which James IV of Scotland and the cream of the Scottish nobility died. The great pipe tune "Flowers of the Forest" was composed in their memory. |
