Thanks for the effort -- it sounds like you found some of the same sites I did. I feel kinda guilty when it's a tough one like this.
Sorcha I think you are right -- it's going to take someone knowing it. It unfortunately is not on "Retrospective" but it is included in the new Buffalo Springfield boxed set -- a good excuse to go buy a CD that should already BE in my collection! Here are some lyrics as remembered. I tried using them all and the title in quotes -- man did I get some wierd results!

I'm not having any success here either John. The Insurgent Country Site has a ton of lyrics for Stills (about 5 or 6 albums and a couple for BuSpr, but not this one. I'll keep looking. Can you remember any exact phrase maybe?

I've googled for about an hour, I searched the archives, but to no avail.

Does anyone here remember the lyrics to this old Stills penned gem? ("Pretty Girl Why") Maybe (no doubt) you are better at googling too -- I even put "....." around the title. Dozens of hits--no lyrics.
