Subject: RE: BETA Video recorders From: Bill D Date: 08 Aug 02 - 11:40 AM I have a top-of-the-line Beta machine...(Sony 900)it is the only one still working (have 2 VHS machines that ate tapes and jammed)...I never could see why VHS won the battle, except for longer recording time...*sigh*.... (I also have a Sony VHS which I *shall* get repaired soon...so, if anyone desparately needs anything converted......) |

Subject: RE: BETA Video recorders From: MMario Date: 07 Aug 02 - 01:35 PM auctioning the TAPES is not illegal - nor would the transfer onto a compatible media for the purchaser be illegal. making additional copies would be. |

Subject: RE: BETA Video recorders From: Ron Olesko Date: 07 Aug 02 - 01:17 PM I hate to bring this up, but aren't those tapes copyright material? Selling, or even auctioning a beta copy of material is not exactly legal. I believe these tapes are still being sold, on VHS. Ron |
