Hi, Chris, I told Richard and co. that you'd shown up on mudcat. They were pleased to hear things are OK with you. Recent guests include Jez Lowe, Bernard Wrigley, Ray Fisher. The next theme night is a 'Dylan' night. The first 'new' session at the Sun was great. Have you learned 'Patience Kershaw' yet?

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the news. Good to hear that you are well and enjoying the karaoke. It really is good isn't it? You have missed a belting series of gigs at Nellies since you left. But I don't know exactly who appeared because I missed them as well.

Hardly a session passes without mention of bearhoi9 in your honour. The first Sunday session is a lot different to the Nellies session, being nearly a quarter of a mile to the south east. This makes all the difference.

Keep well and let us know when you are due for a visit to the Peoples' Democratic Republic of the East Riding of Yorkshire. (On behalf of all the musical miscreants from the session formerly known as Nellies)

Hello all at Nellies Folk Club, Beverley
I am happily Kipling away here in Hanoi Vietnam.(from Chris if you did'nt guess)

Just wondered what i'm missing on Monday nights? I spent a very happy year at Bishop Burton College (mainly due to the folkscene in Beverley) especially the Monday night Folk Club and First Sunday sessions.

I understand the Sunday session has now moved and look forward to seeing how it is a year from now.

So what guests have you got booked at the Folk Club , theme nights etc? I am trying to learn a few new songs while i'm here. Hav'nt found any other singers though- it's all bloody Karaoke. I'm finding songs on Mudcat that i've wanted to learn for a while and that's keeping me busy. Look forward to hearing the new songs and tunes other people have learnt.

I could just murder a pint of Sam Smiths now!
