Subject: RE: Extreme Folk From: Willie-O Date: 08 Nov 02 - 02:47 PM Extremity in the defense of moderation is no vice and no virtue. In fact I can't figure out what the hell it is. I think you've got something there M Ted. I might add that trying to figure out how to lay out your whole resume in FrameMaker, using a bunch of its features, as an assignment that was due yesterday, is EXTREMEly frustrating. Me, I'm working on extreme moderation. I don't quite have it down yet. CC |

Subject: RE: Extreme Folk From: Schantieman Date: 08 Nov 02 - 12:05 PM Natural Folk Music sounds good to me. ...er - is that music played by natural folk? Extreme Ironing is all very well (I think I heard an item about on the radio the other day), but where do you plug it in? S |
|
Subject: RE: Extreme Folk From: Wesley S Date: 08 Nov 02 - 12:01 PM I must be behind the times. I still thought everything was still sold as "natural" and "low fat". Now low fat folk music is something I need to get into. |

Subject: RE: Extreme Folk From: Willie-O Date: 08 Nov 02 - 11:45 AM extremetech.com We have a sometime trout stream that looks more like an ex-stream these days, with the water level so far down. Your neighbourhood is suffering from Extreme Overkill. And it is getting around... W-O |

Subject: Extreme Folk Music From: Jerry Rasmussen Date: 08 Nov 02 - 11:26 AM These days, the way to sell something is to call it Extreme. I was driving past a Burger King yesterday, and they now have an Extreme Hamburger. Down the street they had a sign out for Extreme Comedy. In the Gospel section at the music store, they now have Extreme Gospel. I don't know if this is strictly an American phenomenon, but I imagine that if it is, it will surface soon on the streets of Afghanistan, and everywhere else. So my question is, why haven't we wised up and started Extreme Folk music? We could have Mr. Happy on electric can opener, Bobert could thumb his nose, after he gets his cast off, and Mr. Tweed could shed his leather elbow patched smoking jacket and wear a pink day-glo shirt with puffed sleeves and lace cuffs. Think of the commercial possibilities. What else has gone extreme these days? If this keeps up, we'll have Extreme Apathy before long... Jerry |
