'S tripe nonetheless -- I don't think anyone can accuse me of being unhumored, but I am certainly differently humored. Perhaps a humor of a different 'stripe. I think (along with Doctor Harvey) that there are some humors that should be dropped from circulation! (A galen thought, not?). Badaboom.....

Dear Dead Horse,

I think the word you meant to use was "plaice", wsasn't it? You wouldn't want Bert to go into another rage.

Try reading "Jersey under the Jackboot" (can't remember the author) for seeing how islanders endured Nazi occupation that was intent on starving the population to death ...

Seeing as the cod is becoming an endangered species, may I suggest place walloping as an alternative? It seems as if we are all floundering about having a whale of a time, when some spratt intervenes with no sense of humour. Eel get his, mark my words.

There is a fine set of Channel Island songs (with French and English lyrics in Peter Kennedy's 'Folksongs of Britain and Ireland' published by Cassell in 1975.(think it was re-published later)

Just thought I'd try and get things musical again.

They really do very little except when they can sit in house of Lords and do damn all, and then they go back home and spend their money, did I say spend, I didn't know that they were rich, in that case don't spend their money however they use ours.
