Inspired by Mac Wiseman's Little mountain home in Tennessea;
I was only going to change the location, but it turned into a whole new song. Different story, tune is "little old Sod Shanty on my Claim", which seems to be the basis for most Bluegrass Ballads. This one's a "Bluewater-Bluegrass ballad"

Two centuries have found, the timbers still are sound

strolling with my sweetheart by my side
Down among the sand dunes, where the wild sea grasses grow
There she promised she would be my bride
NOT ANOTHER MAN CAN HOLD HER HEART AND HAND
SHE HAS ALWAYS BEEN SO TRUE TO ME.
AND SO I'M EVER FAITHFUL, NEVER WILL I STRAY
FROM MY HAPPY HOME IN NEWPORT BY THE SEA.
