I'm trying to find out the origin of the bluegrass song, "Knockin' On Your Door." The lyrics were posted in the DT once but for the wrong song (with the same title).

It's been recorded by Grateful Dead-Old And In The Way; Jimmy King; Muleskinner; Peter Rowan;

A verse and chorus are:

That no one slse was ever meant for me
