Mark's concert was a wonderful experience for everyone there...A great crowd and a truly great folk music concert,in the traditional sense...Spoke of Pete Seeger, Frank Hamilton and told the crowd how he stopped in Depoe Bay and watch the sunset w/ Art Thieme with him,in spirit...real neat guy and we had a ball...I did the encore with him and we sang and played Utah"s "Goin' Away"///I got a clam shell we picked up on the beach in Depoe Bay..I'll send it to you Art....Frank of Toledo

Francy, Mark didn't exactly study banjo with me. He has been a great banjo picker for a long time. He is a major vital force at the Old Town School of Folk Music, a born educator and performer. He has a winning way with an audience but he conveys the spirit and essence of American folk music following in the tradition of Pete Seeger, Mike Cooney and others from the Folk Revival. He is a good friend and I am a fan. He has much to teach us. But I can't take credit for his great banjo playing.

Frank Hamilton

Nancy and I have the pleasure of having Chicagoan Mark Dvorak here for two concerts today....An aftenoon children's concert and an evening concert..As most of you already know Mark is very active in the Old Town School in Chicago and studied banjo with Frank Hamilton....We stayed up last night sharing songs and stories and we're at it again this morning.....If Art Thieme is anywhere about, Mark sends his regards..If you get a chance to hear Mark, don't pass it by. A truly fine musician and singer....Frank of Toledo
