Subject: RE: BS: Language conversion site From: Stilly River Sage Date: 26 Mar 03 - 11:16 AM The AltaVista site doesn't allow for longer chunks of text now, like it used to. But it is still very useful. For serious translation, however, one must have a book of verb tenses to go along with it, for double-checking. And for diacritical marks, best type it in Word then cut and paste the text into the window. Without diacriticals it doesn't work properly--it doesn't make assumptions about their presence if you can't type them in. SRS |

Subject: RE: BS: Language conversion site From: katlaughing Date: 26 Mar 03 - 06:19 AM I found out about this site, here at the Mudcat, and used to use it because they had a free online service, but I don't see it anymore: click. Seems to me I remember a more recent one, but it's not coming to me at the moment. Someone will remember, I am sure.:-) Good luck, kat |

Subject: BS: Language conversion site From: mcpiper Date: 26 Mar 03 - 05:22 AM Hi, can anyone help me. A while ago I found a site which converts phrases into a number of language styles. I think I followed a link someone posted on a mudcat thread. Can anyone help me find that site. Thanks. |
