Subject: RE: BS: My first auction item. From: Kim C Date: 12 May 03 - 10:53 AM I am going to get me a knotter. It's been on my list for a long while. I haven't played with monofilaments. I have made some fun bracelets on elastic cord, though. |

Subject: RE: BS: My first auction item. From: GUEST,Jon Date: 11 May 03 - 06:07 AM What is a "knotter"? I've never seen one but have tried the job by hand - I'm no good at it. BTW, I know I have my own site now and finances need to look mosty that way but... does anyone here fancy a bit of my last bit of malachite? I could probably cut a pendant, maybe a moon or another dolphin and put it up for auction here (100% to MC of course). |

Subject: RE: BS: My first auction item. From: katlaughing Date: 09 May 03 - 10:39 PM Have you ever tried stringing with C thru monofilaments? I know the silk it esp. pretty with pearls, but the C thru B etc. are much easier to thread through anything, esp. the tinier holes. Also, unlike Tiger Tail, it can be bent, etc. and it will go back into regular shape, no nasty crimping left or anything. And, as it is not as limp as silk, you don't need any kind of needle, just have to keep the ends snipped close. I started to finally unpack all of my beads and supplies and part of me thinks I'll probably never use them again and so I was thinking about selling them on the Mudcat. Haven't decided for sure, yet, but I'd want them to go to "good" homes.:-) kat |
