ah, yes...when I saw my own post 'in print', I wondered if that would be a problem...

Composing titles does require extra thought sometimes...*grin*

Just a itty-bitty nit-pick, Bill. I know the word "classic" gets tossed around pretty liberally, but in some contexts it has a specific meaning. I was expecting guitars with wide fingerboards strung with nylon strings.

stumbled on this site because I was looking for info on woods..(specifically Rosewoods).

This guy, Chris Bozung, is a guitar maker who seems to know his stuff about the wood...(I am NOT a guitarist, so I don't know if he is a GOOD maker)

He has a page which has a fascinating concept! He got some friends and himself into a studio and recorded a bunch of different models of his guitars, with a number of classics for comparison, and played them on 4 different tunes for comparison. He is, of course, promoting HIS instruments, but that's ok.

his main page is here

Only problem is, he kept the sound bytes im .wav format, so they take awhile to load unless you are on broadband.
