Every August Hollowfox and I go camping with ten thousand of our dearest friends, at the S.C.A Pensic War. That's how we got to know each other. We were in an arts competition. I did a puppet show from a Katherine Briggs story. She was so pleased to meet a fellow Briggs fan she didn't mind that I won. (And her story was pretty good too!) I sell plague rats. They work on your friends, they work on your relatives, they work on your in-laws. HollowFox's cubs assist me in my booth, and in plaguing a fellow vendor with rubber mice. The only problem with Mudcat is that I don't have speakers for my pc yet. And that is a failure in me, not mudcat.

Tsk, tsk, Bee-dubya. You know that saying things like that will just send her to that thread all the quicker. OTOH, knowing the crowd that she's been hanging out with for the last decade or two (including me), my money's on her, not the guppies. Ask her what she does on her vacation sometime. *wicked grin*

There is a thread down here in BS-land called the "Mother of All BS Threads". It is highly recommended that newcomers do not look at that thread. It would be the equivalent of a beginning swimmer jumping off of the high dive into a pool full of drug-crazed gigantic guppies. Not really dangerous, but very bizarre and disorienting.

And believe me, those Ercent threads are rare and far between! In fact seems to me the Cat was much more ercent in the old days than of late. Maybe it's just me, though! :<>)

I was delighted to find that one of my dearest friends finally got on the 'net, and got on the 'Cat before I even told her about it. She can live through the hugest lunacies with a clam smile on her face, she's the Anna Russell of the SCA.
