Subject: RE: BS: lost in time From: Art Thieme Date: 10 Jul 03 - 12:35 AM I get it but only on the odd numbered days. And even then, if I click on it, all I get is an ad for Viagra. What could this mean? I asked Carol to look at it and she said it wasn't there. I've gained ten pounds this year and as a member of Mudcat I suspect I am one of the larger members. So why should I keep getting spam that wants me to enlarge my member? My urologist tells me that a nice warm bath will take me down a few pegs though. Could be that is what I ought to do. Either that or a cold shower !! But keep in mind, as I am very fond of saying, "If it wasn't for time, we'd have to do everything all at once." Art Thieme |

Subject: RE: BS: lost in time From: Rapparee Date: 09 Jul 03 - 10:16 PM Welcome, Red and White Rabbit! Welcome! You have now entered the Mudcat Zone, and once here you cannot return unchanged. If you can return at all. Bwahahahaha! (cue the spooky, minor-chord music) |

Subject: RE: BS: lost in time From: GUEST,MMario Date: 09 Jul 03 - 03:19 PM it is an old "news flash" that occasionally pops up - just as the "Buy Mudcat CD's" message and Action items appear and disappear. I'm not sure exactly how the tech side of it works - but the "news" item seems to show up less often then do some of the others. |

Subject: RE: BS: lost in time From: Nigel Parsons Date: 09 Jul 03 - 03:14 PM No, Red & White, the revival of old threads is to avoid starting new ones that cover the same ground, when more 'in depth' reading is available. If someone starts a new thread about a song which has messages already on the 'Cat it makes sense to direct atention there rather than repeat ourselves. Also, not everyone who has been a member is still here. It is good to know that some of their knowledge is still available Nigel |

Subject: RE: BS: lost in time From: Ebbie Date: 08 Jul 03 - 01:24 AM I did see it, right after I read Red & White Rabbit's post. It was an official, i.e. Mudcat, message- the "Dec.2, 02' phrase was in red. A moment or two later I went back to see it again and it was gone. Figured a Joe/Clone fixed it. |

Subject: RE: BS: lost in time From: Allan C. Date: 07 Jul 03 - 11:56 PM "News as of 02 Dec 02" will eventually appear if I reload the page a few times (each reloading reveals a different message under the Lyrics & Knowledge Search box.) |

Subject: RE: BS: lost in time From: C-flat Date: 07 Jul 03 - 12:31 PM I think that what you (and I) can see is part of the advertisement for the Mudcat C.D. at the top of the page. Unfortunately not a time-warp, or any other sort of anti-aging device! Sorry. |

Subject: RE: BS: lost in time From: Red and White Rabbit Date: 07 Jul 03 - 12:17 PM No - I am getting quite attached to the idea that i am still only 38 and have my 39th birthday/ 39 and 3/4 party and my 40th birthday still to come - no offence taken at all - it were a prbelm I would post it to help I am concerned that only I can see it now though!!! Perhaps it was too much lemonade at the folk festival this weekend - watered down the alcohol content too much |

Subject: RE: BS: lost in time From: katlaughing Date: 07 Jul 03 - 12:03 PM Didn't meant to offend, sorry. It's just that posting such things on the Help Forum alerts Jeff, Max, and Joe that there may be a potential problem. As it is, they will see this, I am sure, and see what's up. I still don't see it. Have you tried resetting your cookie to see if it goes away? Thanks, kat |

Can you be more specific, please? Was it in a specific posting? Or....have you entered the Twilight Zone?!**BG** |
