Snuffy & Greg tie on 39/40.
Snufy failed on the 'Roy Hattersley' question which Greg looked up, Greg got the answer to number 16 (in the first quiz) and tried to work backward to No15, getting "clink" which doesn't fit the question.

So honours even!

Nigel

"look up the Roy Hattersley question"

Second Quiz:
"3.       Who commanded the British fleet against the Spanish Armada?"

If the answer here is supposed to be Drake, then the question is wrong. Lord Thomas Howard of Effingham was the commander the ENGLISH Fleet when it confronted the Spanish Armada in 1588.

Thanks very much for this Nigel. Have completed the first quiz to my own satisfaction(and hopefully Nigel's), I'll have a look at the second.

This time 2 quizzes to keep you guessing. As usual Please do not put the answers in the thread
Both quizzes are similar in that they rely (to some extent) on deliberate misspellings/Mispronunciations, as many of you will no doubt expect. Feel free to comment in the thread, or PM me with answers/complaints etc.,
CHEERS
