Hello Sandra I'm the Joy half of the Joy and Hildebrand duo. Great to know we have a fan in Sydney. We are giving a workshop on "The Seven Deadly Sins" - as they appear in traditional song. Mostly traditional anyway. Hildebrand is performing with fiddling Greg O'Leary (leader of Growling Dog) as well. We are looking forward to the festival. Joybell

Strangely enough, I have a heap of Maldon leaflets here. It's their 30th annual festival! www.maldonfolkfestival.com    folkfestival@maldon.vicmail.net

some of the artists performing who I like listening to- Bruce Watson, Colcannon, Danny Spooner, Duncan Brown, Eric Bogle & John Munro, Joy & Hildebrand, Kate & Ruth, Peter Hicks, THe Growling Dogs, Jenny Fitzgibbon,

It sounds like a great festival.

Maldon Folk Festival is a beauty. 31st Oct. - 3rd Nov. North of Melbourne just South of Bendigo. A few hours at most from Melbourne. Well worth thinking about. Joy

Thanks, Jenny

October Dog features Touchwood, which includes Mudcatters Callie & Chicky they perform an assortment of music from medieval to pop in wonderful harmony, and Gallimore who perform Irish music.

Have a great time but don't wear out your hosts. Charley Noble, his wife, and I will be there a month later. They have to have enough energy to put up with us!

Well you Ozcats we arrive in Melbourne on 16th Oct. and wind down with friends for a few days. Monday 20th we pick up a motor home and head north on the Hume Highway, should be in Sydney 24th for a long week end. Then it's back down the Princes Highway to be back in Melbourne for 31st, when we collect our hire car and stay at The Blue Gum Caravan Park, and do a bit of touring until our return flight on 6th November. Any good ideas music or otherwise would be gratefully received.
Thaks
