Subject: RE: Wanna hear some world music? From: Gray D Date: 15 Sep 03 - 06:27 PM Welllllllllllll . . . thanks for the tip but I'm a "big bloke with a beard" i.e. there's something of a dearth in the shaving foam department. I wonder what the ladies of the house use (on their ARMPITS, Spaw, before you start)? Gray D |

Subject: RE: Wanna hear some world music? From: GUEST,leeneia Date: 14 Sep 03 - 08:37 PM Twenty grand. Splendid! Wish I could have been there. If you are still as red as a lobster, do this. Get some shaving cream, any kind, and spread it over the burned skin. Let it stay for at least 15 minutes. During this time, the heat deep in your skin will be expended in the effort of breaking up the tough bubbles in the shaving cream. After 15 minutes, shower it off. (I learned this in Florida from a first aid expert, who got it from tbe Red Cross.) |

Subject: RE: Wanna hear some world music? From: Gray D Date: 14 Sep 03 - 07:14 PM We made 20 grand for the charity on the day - probably be a bit more when all the money is finally collected. . . . . but oooohhhhh, it was HOT! Singing straight on into the full sun. I am now a lobster-like big bloke with a beard and glasses. Still, at least I got to spend a couple of hours with Frankie Armstrong on the train home . . . which was nice. Since none of you introduced yourselves I'll assume that you didn't get there Gray D |

Subject: RE: Wanna hear some world music? From: Gray D Date: 10 Sep 03 - 07:35 PM Thanks, Anima. I'll have to subtly mention "webcasting" for next year. Of course, the event is really for community choirs. They're coming from Britain, France, Germany and other parts of Europe. If one REALLY wanted to experience it one could always form one's own and bring it along next year. That's what one has done for this one (D*mn! One appears to be turning into QE II !) Gray D |

Subject: Wanna hear some world music? From: Gray D Date: 09 Sep 03 - 08:25 PM Pssst . . . wanna hear some world music? Georgian, Macedonian, Spanish, Latin, even English. Me, my little choir and over four hundred other peeps'll be singing for the charity WaterAid in London at the Thames Festival (Google them both - you'll find them) on Sunday 14th. September at three p.m. - on the stage in the big space behind the Millennium Eye if the weather's nice. We're going for a new world record as well. Come and have a listen if you're inna area, innit? Bring money to give to the nice people with the collecting buckets. Don't take the wossname out of the ones dressed as a tap and a toilet. I'll be the big bloke with the beard and glasses. Gray D |
