Subject: RE: BS: That Terror Alert Thing From: Peace Date: 03 Feb 04 - 12:27 PM George W Houseplant. Neat one, Liz. |
Subject: RE: BS: That Terror Alert Thing From: Liz the Squeak Date: 03 Feb 04 - 12:10 PM I knew that we got the US weather about 3 weeks after you've had it, but now we seem to be getting the US news as well.... hasn't Mr Bleugh just ordered an enquiry (which he should have done this time last year BEFORE the "war"), just like the one his master ordered a week or so ago for the States? Guess it's time to hide a certain houseplant again...... LTS |
Subject: RE: BS: That Terror Alert Thing From: DougR Date: 03 Feb 04 - 12:05 PM I wasn't aware the terror alert had been raised. I thought, after the Superbowl, it was lowered. DougR |
Subject: RE: BS: That Terror Alert Thing From: Bobert Date: 03 Feb 04 - 11:20 AM Ya' also notice that no one pays much attention to them since the Bush administration yhas never told anyone a danged thing that they're 'sposed to do during these PR stunts. (Well, Bobert, they did tell you that if you see your neighbor loading 55 gallon cans of kerosene and shovelin manure into the back of the rental truck, that you should probably report it to someone.) Okay, I'm sorry... Yeah the Wes Ginny Slide Rule has informed me that if there *is* a code orange alert and your neighbor is turning a rental truck into a mobile bomb, you should report it. Bobert |
Subject: RE: BS: That Terror Alert Thing From: Dave Bryant Date: 03 Feb 04 - 11:14 AM Well the US airlines are doing so badly at the moment that the Shrub has to find some way to get at the opposition. Perhaps we ought to get some US flights cancelled by suggesting that there are likely to be members of the Hull9 Liberation Army on them - after all I don't think that the US checking procedures include a curry detector. |
Subject: RE: BS: That Terror Alert Thing From: Wolfgang Date: 03 Feb 04 - 11:11 AM I agree: You can fool some of the people all of the time... but I ponder who is the fooler here? Wolfgang |
Subject: RE: BS: That Terror Alert Thing From: Peace Date: 03 Feb 04 - 11:02 AM Looks to me like most of the people are being fooled all of the time. |
Subject: RE: BS: That Terror Alert Thing From: GUEST,pdc Date: 03 Feb 04 - 10:41 AM Exactly. You can fool some of the people all....etc. |
Subject: BS: That Terror Alert Thing From: GUEST Date: 03 Feb 04 - 08:26 AM Ever notice how the terror alert gets elevated any time the news cycle is dominated by news that is damaging to the Shrub White House? They are having a terrible week, after all. Have to order that WMD investigation. All sides of the aisle and punditry balked at the budget. Cheney can't seem to keep all the "truth tellers" in the corral, discipline is slipping badly... Better ground some flights from France and have the FBI plant some ricin in Frist's office, and take the heat off, eh? |
