Subject: RE: Cwlwm Celtaidd From: Ella who is Sooze Date: 27 Feb 04 - 08:17 AM Sian... I'll be going, but on the Sunday - can't afford a van, but we were going to take our camper van down for the weekend - but we've been told we can't bring our VW with us! They won't let us stop there.... curses! So, day trip it is, but we won't be there till Sunday, some of our classes in diddly music are having a place on the stage Sunday. Regards Ella |

Subject: RE: Cwlwm Celtaidd From: pavane Date: 27 Feb 04 - 07:11 AM But I won't be able to get to Trecco after all. Mrs Pavane needs my assistance at a booking in Swansea on Saturday afternoon. Due to the date, we are going to play them some Welsh folk music as well as her pop stuff. |

Subject: RE: Cwlwm Celtaidd From: pavane Date: 27 Feb 04 - 04:25 AM Mike James - haven't seen him since I used to go to the Valley club in Pontardawe many many years ago. |

Subject: RE: Cwlwm Celtaidd From: sian, west wales Date: 27 Feb 04 - 04:10 AM Yes, I noticed that. I've heard that Mike James and partner are over from Brittany, the KilBrides are playing (tonight, I think), Dawnswyr Mon are there for the weekend and doing our workshop Saturday afternoon (2.30 p.m.), Gareth from Toreth is also taking part, and Mabon will be there of course. I have a leaflet here somewhere but can't find it. Can't think WHY they haven't updated the site! sian |

Subject: RE: Cwlwm Celtaidd From: pavane Date: 26 Feb 04 - 02:44 PM Unfortunately, the site has no programme, list of performers or prices |

Subject: RE: Cwlwm Celtaidd From: pavane Date: 26 Feb 04 - 02:33 PM Why do I ask these silly questions when there is a web to search? "Welcome to the site of "Cwlwm Celtaidd", Wales' premier festival of Celtic music and dance, held in Trecco Bay Holiday Park, Porthcawl, Bridgend." |
|
Subject: RE: Cwlwm Celtaidd From: pavane Date: 26 Feb 04 - 02:30 PM Interesting, that's not too far from us, but what is Cwlwm? (Me being English). (Mrs Pavane is often singing in Porthcawl. You can also hear her now on the web, as Dawne Oakley, at www.motagator.co.uk - she is the one with the bodhran, of course) |

Subject: Cwlwm Celtaidd From: sian, west wales Date: 26 Feb 04 - 01:57 PM Anyone going to Cwlwm Celtaidd at Trecco Bay (Porthcawl, SE Wales) this coming weekend? I'll be there on Saturday in a discussion/workshop in the Roxy, 2.30 p.m. sian |
