From: Cuilionn Date: 27 Feb 04 - 11:02 AM All Mudcatters in commuting distance (and the rest o ye, tae, for that matter) are cordially invited to a CEILIDH (a Celtic music/dance party, pronounced "KAY-lee") this Saturday, 2/28/04, in Brunswick, Maine. WHO: Ceilidh House staff, kith & kin, wandering Celts & Celtophiles! WHAT: Informal ceilidh in honor of all past & present Ceilidh House volunteers WHEN: 7:00 PM, Saturday, February 28th, 2004 WHERE: Curtis Memorial Library, 23 Pleasant Street, Brunswick, ME HOW MUCH: Free admission to all volunteers. Others are invited to contribute $3 - $5 towards room rental costs. Potluck refreshments also welcome; no alcoholic beverages please. WHY: To celebrate the ongoing revival of Celtic culture & music in Maine, to honor the volunteers who make it possible, and have a rollicking good time! Please bring instruments and/or a song, story, poem, tune, or dance to share. This is an all-ages event and the venue is wheelchair-accessible. All are welcome! --Cuilionn (Holly Morrison, Program Director, Ceilidh House) Ceilidh House is Maine's first pan-Celtic school & cultural center. We are in the process of applying for 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. Our mission is to provide a home for educational activities and performance events that celebrate the Celtic immigrant heritage of Maine. |
