I beg to differ. Scotland IS big. Alaska is just a LOT bigger!

Sooz: You are more than welcome to join me....and I'm sure you are fit enough.

Cheers,

John

With all due respect, Scotland is NOT big. Try walking coast to coast in Alaska.

Sorry Eric, but TGO is the current name of the mag and isn't bloody mobile phone text speak and sodding abbreviations. However I share your dislike of the violations of our wonderful language. What worries me greatly is the falling standard of spelling. 'Text-speak' doesn't encourage correct spelling, nor does it do anything to promote correct use of grammar.

Guest: I'm walking from Mallaig > Tomdoun > Fort Augustus > Laggan > Dalwhinnie > Braemar > Tarfside > Montrose. You're absolutely correct; Scotland is big....in fact it's bloody enormous!

Cheers all,

John

I wish people would start talking fecking English again instead of talking bloody mobile phone text speak and sodding abbreviations, which mean nothing to anyone not in the know. Am I alone in not having a mobile phone ?

The magazine's called TGO, and used to be The Great Outdoors.

It's the monthly rag for hillwalkers etc; they oversee / organise the event.
