What? It's a scam? And all of us over on The Mother of All BS Threads have been anxiously waiting for Rapaire's winnings to be transferred into his account so he can send us the checks he's been promising. Oh! Cruel Fate! Say it ain't so!

This a is a more serious issue, than you give credit to.

If anybody gets similar e-mails, then this is what you should do.

Go to the following website :-

http://www.fraudwatchinternational.com/frauds_and_scams/list.htm

You should then be able to see if it is a scam or not.

You should also e-mail scams@fraudwatchinternational.com and attach the e-mail. They will check it for you and more importantly :-

They will be able to try and trap these people, before they move on to another scam.

With this type of scam, they either try to get you to give deatils and indeed a lump sum amount, or you can go to a particular town to pick up the winnings. When you get there, you give them some money and they give you your winnings. Problem is it is counterfeit. It all seems so plausible.

So I urge all mudcatters to use this website to check these sort of scams out. There is always somebody who is gullible, and it might be you next time.

I appeared to win a lottery recently, but as I never opened it, I dunno what I missed out on. Shame on Mozilla's Junk-status icon thingy, it has deprived me of a fortune.

sandra (poor me)

one advantage of Mozilla is I can now see the google ads - Gail HOward's winners (read letters from dozens of Gail's first prize lotto jackpot winners) & You can win more (it is possible - the Lottery Manual will change the way you play). What a lot I miss by being a cynic.
