I have just watched 90 minutes of the most engrossing TV reporting I have ever seen - Sean Langan's reports from Iraq.

I commend it to anyone who wants to see the reality of the situation in Iraq, and the total inadequacy of the response of the US forces on the ground. It's not their fault, no-one prepared them for this.

What a bloody mess. I doubt that the programme will be aired in the US - but it should be.

I've decided to revive Pat Sky's song "Jimmy Clay" at the next opportunity. Sadly it is appropriate again.
