Subject: RE: BS: Arnie for President? From: Chris Green Date: 17 Sep 04 - 07:57 PM NOOOO!!! America does not need a trigger-happy halfwit who is barely capable of stringing a sentence together for president! On reflection, I may have posted this a little late |
Subject: RE: BS: Arnie for President? From: Peace Date: 17 Sep 04 - 06:50 PM DougR for President? It works for me. |

Subject: RE: BS: Arnie for President? From: Bev and Jerry Date: 17 Sep 04 - 04:37 PM When Arnold ran for govenor in the recall election, he made a lot of campaign promises and he has only fulfilled one of them. He "reduced the car tax" which was actually an executive order to extend the temporary reduction in car registration fees which, of course, primarily benefits the rich. All of his other promises turned out to be lies. While campaigning, he accused then governor of California, Gray Davis, of taking campaign contributions from Indian tribes with whom he later was to negotiate gambling casinos on tribal lands. Arnold said he wouldn't do that and he didn't. He took money from the Indians while he was negotiating witn them! Seems to us like he's the perfect candidate for the Republican party. Bev and Jerry |

Subject: RE: BS: Arnie for President? From: GUEST Date: 17 Sep 04 - 04:07 PM HAVING sex with corpses is now officially illegal in California after Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed a Bill barring necrophilia. How many married couples will view this with a sigh of relief? No more, "Not tonight dear, I have a headache." Arnie for President. |
Subject: RE: BS: Arnie for President? From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 17 Sep 04 - 02:46 PM I gather it was a ban on necrophilia. I thought I'd check just to set my mind at ease. I mean, with California, can you be sure of anything? But does this apply to the undead as well? This could become controversial. "Arnie Unfair to Zombies" |
Subject: RE: BS: Arnie for President? From: George Papavgeris Date: 17 Sep 04 - 02:20 PM Oh goody - he can turn the state law he passed last week about necrophilia into a federal one. |

Subject: RE: BS: Arnie for President? From: *daylia* Date: 17 Sep 04 - 01:46 PM Good thinking, Graham! But then again, if there's gotta be a Rocky in the White House, why not screw the Hmm, maybe this one's got a bit more, um, hometown appeal. Oh well, if Arnie does make it I hope he picks Danny Devito for Vice. daylia |
Subject: RE: BS: Arnie for President? From: mack/misophist Date: 17 Sep 04 - 01:29 PM In theory, it's not that bad an idea. However, Arnie has yet to show any great grasp of economics and his public image is a little too right wing. If he were elected president we would have another bush (a puppet run by some one hidden in the wings), but without the drug and booze habit. I don't like Lantos either but he's a better choice. Maybe Arnie will self destruct. I doubt it. Name recognition is too powerful here. |
Subject: RE: BS: Arnie for President? From: Grab Date: 17 Sep 04 - 01:05 PM What do I think? I think that some people haven't watched the film "Demolition Man". See, you never thought of Sly Stallone as a political futurist, did you? Now *that's* the kind of guy you want in the White House - someone who can see the political future a good 10 years ahead! :-) Graham. |
Subject: RE: BS: Arnie for President? From: GUEST Date: 17 Sep 04 - 11:20 AM well - it's like this amos - once you've run those mosquitos through the baling machine they are dead - therefore harmless; and the blood content from the females that have fed makes excellent fertilizer. so after importing the 10 bales - you break them up and spread them around and have the greenest and lushest lawn for blocks around. |
Subject: RE: BS: Arnie for President? From: Amos Date: 17 Sep 04 - 11:07 AM Making Schwarznegger President would be akin to importing 10 bales of mosquitos to adorn your back yard. For God's sake, why? A |

Subject: RE: BS: Arnie for President? From: GUEST,MMario Date: 17 Sep 04 - 09:39 AM I'm not sure about this - while I feel that in principle anyone who has citizenship should be able to run if they so desire - on the other hand I think there should be some sort of residency requirement as well. I'd have to see the amendment to really form a true opinion on it. |

Subject: BS: Schwarzenegger for President? From: *daylia* Date: 17 Sep 04 - 09:31 AM Well, what do you think of this, folks? Schwarzenegger for President A United States politician has introduced a constitutional amendment in Congress that would allow foreign-born citizens to run for president. The proposal introduced in the House of Representatives by Republican congressman Dana Rohrabacher of California is seen as an effort to help his friend, state governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who was born in Austria ... A recent poll done by Princeton Survey Research Associates International for Newsweek said Republicans chose Schwarzenegger as the most attractive candidate for the 2008 election, providing the U.S. Constitution was changed. I've always enjoyed Schwarzenegger's movies, but even Ronald Reagan's tenure as President wasn't enough to convince me that Hollywood necessarily produces "presidential material". Then again, maybe this is just what the doctor ordered for the planet as a whole -- the "Terminator" enshrined in the Oval Office! ;-) Whaddaya think? daylia |
