My old stompin' grounds. Went back 20 years ago and had a good time there one night. Met some guys workin' a wipe racket, and drifted to a small bar named The Three Roses. Lost two games of pool (I ain't stupid, just crazy) and left at 3:30 AM. Met a guy named Panama (he's who I lost the games to) and his 'friend' named *****. Nice people on a slow night. Sent them a Christmas card four months later, but the card was returned. Club had new owners and I guess new clientelle. Gotta love New York.

Bill's all wrong about this Martin. Of all the fungi against which you should direct the scourge of your many talents at excoriating and denigrating, the mold-forms of McGonagle and Shatner, Little Hawk's twin obsessions, deserves it the most. He distracts people from more valuable conversations, and he clutters Mudcat space with the moral equivalent of cheap plastic bags and used SuperGulp cups, shoddy waste littered about by an infirm mind. He should be hounded into better behaviour as soon as can be.

Well...Martin...you may be beginning to see the light. Look, man, I've been to Chicago. Know what I'm saying? It's an okay place, but would you want to raise your daughter there? I certainly wouldn't. I did not choose to raise my daughter in Chicago, and I had a clear choice about it. Little Hawk...is a man of acute judgement. He knows quality when he sees it. Or hears it. We...see eye to eye on...a number of things. You...ought to listen more closely to Little Hawk. It could turn your life around.

My advice is...take a deep breath, count to ten, and go stand in front of the mirror. Take a good look. There, Martin...there in that mirror is the man who has taken your life...a life that could have been a triumph...and flushed it down the toilet!
