Canada is a great place to shop, but the weather is worse than Chicago's. Besides I just bought a house. I'm going to stay and try to change the status quo, with Dr. Dean.

British Columbia has ads on t.v. saying that we are projected to need thousands of workers in the next decade. Everything from skilled tradesman, nurses, doctors, you name it...

Looks like the doors are pretty wide open.

I don't know about Taylors - I think you can get any kind of beer that you want plus specialty beer from the local breweries. If you're really lucky, someone might invite you over to sample the home brew.

Lots of Canada is on Yonge Street or Rue Notre Dame. The former is in Ontario and the latter is in Quebec. Also, he could try the Trans-Canada, but I guess that's a highway. So let that Truman Caput guy know if you see him around.

Last year, 5,200 Americans were given landed immigrant status in Canada. For those who wish to join us in Canada, here are the facts:

It cost about $5000.00 in lawyers fees and about $4000.00 in govt. fees. Applicants with post-secondary education, skilled professionals, no criminal record and fluency in English are considered good candidates. It takes about two years to process.

Its faster if you are married to a Canadian and/or have a job offer.

We actually like Americans up here. Its just that most Canadians do not like Americans as a whole (especially ignorant, right wing reactionaries).

So, if you want good company and are tired of trying to change an overly corrupt system, stop feeding it and let them eat themselves.
