The Cajun national anthem can be found translated on many sites. The song is a tale of a little loss, some regret, a bit of bitterness, and a healthy dose of our own understanding. The specific lyrics are not so important as the understanding that we have each been through this and we will all pass through.

Most Louisiana artists have recorded this tune, and as far as I can tell, none have done it the same way, and rarely has anybody sung this, or any other cajun song the same way twice.
It is quite the "done thing" to do your own version, and the lyrics are not that important. It is considered to be a dance tune, not a pop classic.
So unless you can get help from a cajun speaker who has heard this recording, you aint gonna get much luck.
