Subject: RE: Hull Folk Club 2nd December From: Hand-Pulled Boy Date: 03 Dec 04 - 11:13 AM You should have used a Brownie 127 like I had when I was a lad. The sepia coloured pictures would truly reflect the atmosphere of the club. It was a real pleasure to play in front of sparkly curtains again. It took me back a few years. |

Subject: RE: Hull Folk Club 2nd December From: Hand-Pulled Boy Date: 03 Dec 04 - 11:05 AM jOhn my food comments were non-specific regarding the origins of the offending junk-food. I fear you may have given the game away and committed yourself to a life on the dole. What a sad end to such a fine career. RIP |

Subject: RE: Hull Folk Club 2nd December From: Rt Revd Sir jOhn from Hull Date: 03 Dec 04 - 10:15 AM Peharps this is one for the "Bad Advertising" thread, but as I said to Hand Pulled Boy last night, I would not reccomend the burgers from the curry ship, they fry them in a frying pan! Currys are good though, [Voted best currys in Hull, By Hull Daily Mail last year]. Though he won the meat voucher, so maybe he'll be making his own burgers? |
|
Subject: RE: Hull Folk Club 2nd December From: Hand-Pulled Boy Date: 03 Dec 04 - 08:06 AM A big thank you to Sir jOhn of Hull. Apparently beefburgers and pizzas are bad for you so stick to curry. You can't argue with that. Muppet, what an athlete! |

Subject: RE: Hull Folk Club 2nd December From: Paco Rabanne Date: 03 Dec 04 - 03:36 AM That was the best laugh I have had for years!! We must get him back and pay him properly next time. His 'rap' version of Ilkley Moor was priceless. The poems took you away to somewhere long gone too,the long sad poignant one about the first signs of winter had me transfixed, only for muppet to reveal that the poem was about a fucking road gritter!! |
