Refresh/Reload: There's a button up at the top of your browser's window that says one thing or the other.

Click the button: When you get a page without recent changes or any page that doesn't show you as being logged in when you've just logged in.

Clicking the button will not launch nuclear missles, eject you from your chair or cause anything at all to blow up. Clicking the button will make the Ghost of Pages Past go away. You'll awaken from your nightmare a new man, possibly with a craving for turkey.

Thanks, gang. I appreciate your suggestions even though I don't understand a one of them. I should explain that I am an old dog who as unlikely to learn tricks as to turn tricks. I will get my wife or one of my friends, all of whom are more savvy than I, to interprate your tips and set me straight.
I fear that it will take someone standing over me and supervising my every move to cure what ails me.

In case nobody noticed, musicmic posted as a member. When you get one of those "you have to join to get that" messages, try clicking 'refresh/reload'. Your browser may simply be reverting to an old stored page.

If that doesn't work, try cleaning your cache out. Joe's instructions for doing this are in the FAQ.

I am writing this in hopes of someone finding me and digging me out of my morass. I am a member of Mudcat. I really am. I am also a recent changer (changee?) of my e-mail address and, as such, the Mudcat Mahatma does not recognize me. When I log on, I am required to click here and there and, eventually, change my bio stats, after which, I am told that I am, once again, legitimate and registered.
Hooray, says I, little knowing that said recognition is but an empty promise for, no sooner than I log anew, I must repeat the ritual dragging my mouse as Jacob Marley did his chains. If there exists a Mudcat Mavin who can end my eternal damnation, would he/she/they please contact me. Use my new e-mail address because I've got a fat chance of getting onto my personal page in this lifetime.
