Subject: RE: BS: I am feeling deprived.... From: Sandra in Sydney Date: 15 Dec 04 - 07:41 AM I have had 2 episodes of Mudcat deprivation. The first was in June-July when it took a month to restore my poor little laptop after the Great Big Gi-normous Almost Fatal Crash. Then in the past 2 weeks it was back to reading my mail tru my IP's website & looking at Mudcat on occasion as a Guest using the broswer at work after my laptop died & my personal help desk (mudcatter Chris Maltby) could not dismantle enough of the laptop to get the hard-disk out to load into my new iMac. Those last few damn pieces & screws would not move & it is now in the hands of his puzzle-loving colleague. Maybe I should just say Smash it! It's probably only worth 50cents these days. But now I am (back) on line using my new iMac (so cool) without my address book & email records. Shanghaiceltic, you can survive Mudcat deprivation, why, JennyO is just back on line after a week's total deprivation as she can't access a computer at work & she survived. If she can do it, anyone can!! sandra |

Subject: BS: I am feeling deprived.... From: Shanghaiceltic Date: 15 Dec 04 - 05:57 AM Hi folks, just a quick moan. I feel a bit deprived as I cannot get on the Cat every day as I usually try to do to have a chat and read the threads and you know what I bloody well miss it. My B&B place is not connected to the net and when I am in the office I am working. The up side is that on my trip here in the UK so far I have met up with some wonderfull and friendly catters, so I guess I should not really be moaning, but the Mudcat cold turkey is hard to put up with. |
