Nah, Dougie, Bush couldn't have stopped the event but he could have picked up the danged phone and notified some of the countries he *knew* would be hit that is was coming. The naval base on the Phillipines got the info but that's about it as far as warning other folks...

But he has said that the US along with Japan, Australia and India would form a core group to coordinate relief work. Forgive me but isnt that what the UN and the UNCH etc are there for?
