Also, when it happens, you can always check in at the Help Forum to see if there is a notice about what is going on, plus the backdoor link is posted in several threads there, including by McGrath in Hawlow in the Dooby Down, Down thread.

when this happens and the back door is the only way in - member services (search, auction, chat, PM's) aren't avaialble. But the forum is available and so is the DT database.

Yes, this "aberration" happens often. When it does, try connecting through what the regulars call the "backdoor" or the "catflap" etc.

I couldn't get into Mudcat for two days – Olly had the same problem when I rang her about it. Both our websites just froze. It's really annoying, especially as I wanted to send out messages. The next day, Mudcat was fine again – has anybody experienced the same problem?
