Subject: RE: BS: Here's logic for you From: Once Famous Date: 04 Jun 05 - 12:34 PM That is what is so great about baseball. The word "upset" is non-existant. Any given day, a team with the worst record can be the team with the best. No other sport has the long haul, the endurance test that baseball does. It is a great American game. A thinking man's game. |

Subject: BS: Here's logic for you From: GUEST,crazy little woman Date: 03 Jun 05 - 02:31 PM This could almost be a music thread. The Kansas City Royals, a major league baseball team, have beaten the once-proud New York Yankees twice in a row. This is like hearing that Peter Rabbit has won a fistfight with Mr. McGregor. The sports headline was "Fuhgedaboudit!" I'm not a baseball fan, but I'm happy for my home team. Meanwhile, what are Yankees fans doing? According to the KC Star, "quick-triggered (!?) and quick-tempered fans are calling for the firing of manager Joe Torre, general manager Brian Cashman and the stadium organist." The stadium organist? Words fail me. |
