Subject: RE: BS: Unite against Unity! From: Donuel Date: 29 Jul 05 - 08:33 AM This thread is a slap in the face against uniting against unity. Disunify at once. |

Subject: RE: BS: Unite against Unity! From: Peace Date: 29 Jul 05 - 01:03 AM But, you also get to share that date with Joan Baez. That more than balances it out, dontcha think? |

Subject: RE: BS: Unite against Unity! From: Ebbie Date: 28 Jul 05 - 07:01 PM The story says that she was "conceived", in Swastika. Was she born there? I have a niece - a perfectly lovely person - who shares Hitler's birthday. I've never dared broach the subject to her! (And yes. I am aware of the myriads of other people who were or will be born on that same date.) |

Subject: RE: BS: Unite against Unity! From: Le Scaramouche Date: 28 Jul 05 - 06:54 PM Sir, it is precisely my contention. I have studied under Brabazon Plank of Addiscombe-on-Esk and Doctor Gratiano of Bologna. Both of these fine gentlemen will concurr with myself when I say that unity is not the same thing as conformity. It is entirely possible to be united yet not entirely conform. |

Subject: RE: BS: Unite against Unity! From: Little Hawk Date: 28 Jul 05 - 06:21 PM Unity Mitford's story is a strange one. I remember reading about it in Jessica Mitford's autobiography. How odd that she, a British subject, should be born in a town named Swastika, be named "Unity Valkyrie", and become an ardent fan of Hitler and the Nazis! Such symbolism argues more than just the laws of chance...it suggests a spiritual synchronicity which draws like to like and shapes people and events. If, by some turn of destiny, England had chosen to ally itself with the Nazis in the 30's and 40's, then Unity would clearly have gone on to a glorious career. That, however, was not in the cards. Instead, she was indirectly destroyed by the war between England and Germany. |

Subject: RE: BS: Unite against Unity! From: Le Scaramouche Date: 28 Jul 05 - 05:11 PM Look up unity in a dictionary and then conformity. They are not quite the same thing. |

Subject: BS: Unite against Unity! From: GUEST,Biscotti Van Sveltemacher Date: 28 Jul 05 - 05:03 PM What is Unity, if not conformity? Conformity is bad. We must all swear to Unite in the struggle against Unity/Conformity. By uniting against Unitry we can prevent the further rise of conformity and guarantee a society where everyone can be unique and not trapped in a sheeplike behavior pattern. The time is now. Not later. Now. Unite against Unity. |
