Guitar pics... every cowboy carries his guitar pics, and a rubber, in that little pocket. I guess everybody knows why except Uncle Dave, and he won't ask because he thinks I am going to say something crass. Oh well, I must ride into ths sunset singing my favourite cowboy tune... Been Kinda Lonely in the Saddle Since My Horse Died.

Is it me? I always thought the little pocket was useless. Too small and tight to get anything out of once it's in there, even when I was thinner.

Carhartt's is a favorite, tough, multi-pocketed brand of jeans, jackets and other stuff. Don't know if they make any left-hand pocketed ones but they might be worth checking.

Might be a northern/western type of clothing though. A friend's outdoorsy son went off to college and after a few days, his roommate asked curiously, Hey, are you a carpenter or something?

I also found a site that makes Kevlar lined jeans for bikers... They put the 5 Hole on the left hand side so one can reach it, but keep the throttle open...

But at 100-150 bucks a pair, it's not an option

Forget Levis and Levis clones. Get some Dickies. They have a couple of accessory pockets along the right thigh. One of 'em's pretty useless unless you carry a combination square around with you, but the other one's about 3" wide by 5" deep. It's easy to get to and out of the way.

Somehow I'm intrigued to think of the circumstances where you have the guitar on your front, and want to use the condom but can't because you can't get to it.

Not having a set of Levis convenient, I can't check on the watch pocket for rivits, but can you pull the pocket on the right and resew it on the left. This has to be cheaper than getting tailor mades.

The 5 pocket on the left that I'm looking for is the ''Levi's 5er'... the little pocket (for change or Zippo or pocket watch) that's partially inside the top of the right hand pocket... Which is mostly useless for me, cause that's also the hip my guitar is held against... Anything I put in that pocket has to come out before I play, and it's not worth the hassle... IF it was on the left side, I could put my Zippo,, condom, change or whatever in there and forget about it until I needed it...

I gave up the search and make my own trousers now, so I have (and am presently wearing) a 3 pocket pair of combats.... the leg pocket is in the left leg where I can reach it and it doesn't catch on the handle of the car window!

Am I the only one who's ever though to look for these? Anyone else ever seen such a beast? If I can find 'em retail, I'd buy 'em, but it's looking more and more like I might hae to have 'em custom made... and that might be more than I'm willing to spend...
