From: sapper82 Date: 06 Aug 05 - 07:36 AM Just picked daughter up from the camp, which she thoroughly enjoyed btw, and was told by one lad that the funnel formed during a storm, touched the woodland on a hilltop about a mile away, and then faded away. Scarey! |

Subject: RE: BS: Anyone else children at Peak 2005? From: Torctgyd Date: 05 Aug 05 - 10:01 AM Apparently, Britain gets more twisters per sq mile than any other country in the world. However, generally speaking they are not too big and tend to be along the coast or just off shore (water-spouts) |

I don't know how many twisters the UK normally gets, but we've had several damaging ones this year already. I'll look out for guides landing on local witches. |
