Subject: RE: Painted Boot Company - still going? From: Mr Red Date: 01 Oct 05 - 12:17 PM Nah - leather uppers, welted - stitched through the welt to the inner sole and a rubber foam sole glued thereto. Several manufacturers in UK - used to be Glastonbury but Painted Boot Co last heard of in Southampton. Usually a stall at Folk Festivals here. The enquirer will probably be at the Stroud Ceilidh tonight. |

Subject: Painted Boot Company - still going? From: Mr Red Date: 26 Sep 05 - 08:02 AM Anyone seen them lately or their successors? I have two pairs (one slightly less red that the other) and they will not last forever - particularly dancing. A fellow dancer asked me this and I did not know. I haven't seen any like them for a year or two. |
